China and WTO Review (CWR) is an internationally referred scholarly journal(ESCI/SCOPUS) which is semi-annually published by UK Zhende Publishing Group on March 1 and September 1, respectively. CWR is dedicated to addressing critical law and policy questions regarding China and the World Trade Organization. The Review encompasses eminent academic papers and case reports comprehensively analyzing trade law and policy in a wide range of areas including dispute settlement proceedings involving China from a proactive viewpoint of international and comparative law, legal economics and policy. In addition, to the extent relevant to WTO covered agreements (or other trade accords for that matter), the Review deals with foreign investment, copyrights and other trade-related issues. It welcomes the contribution from China and around the world.

Abstract

This note aims to provide an outlook on the prospect of China-Panama economic partnership in the following three areas: trade, investment, and civil aviation, which are strategically important to both countries and have been subject to the governance of some aspects of international law. The analysis will take into account both the status of current law (lex lata) and possible development of future law (lex ferenda), especially in light of China's "Belt and Road" Initiative.
