About the Journal
About the Journal
China and WTO Review (CWR) is a rigorously peer-reviewed, international scholarly journal published biannually (in March and September) by the UK Zhende Publishing Group.
Academic Mission and Focus
The journal serves as a premier academic forum dedicated to the critical examination of legal, economic, and policy issues at the intersection of China's economic integration and the World Trade Organization (WTO) framework. CWR publishes high-impact original research and comprehensive case analyses that explore the evolving landscape of international trade law. A primary focus is placed on WTO dispute settlement mechanisms involving China, evaluated through interdisciplinary lenses that include international law, comparative jurisprudence, law and economics, and global public policy.
Furthermore, the journal’s purview extends to broader global trade governance issues. To the extent they relate to WTO-covered agreements or regional trade accords, CWR actively examines topics such as foreign direct investment (FDI), intellectual property rights (including copyrights and patents), and other emerging trade-related regulations. The journal warmly welcomes theoretical and empirical contributions from scholars and practitioners worldwide.
Editorial Integrity and Peer Review
CWR is committed to upholding the highest standards of scientific integrity and publication ethics. All submitted manuscripts undergo a stringent, fair, and independent peer-review process to ensure academic rigor and methodological validity. The journal's quality control is overseen by an esteemed International Editorial Board, comprising distinguished academics and leading legal practitioners from across the globe.
